the-unpopular-opinions:

I honestly liked these books. It was a good read and it was written good for its age group (Preteens and lonely moms). I really don’t see why everyone absolutely hates it. Sure, the characters have a lot of flaws (like most book characters), the relationships can/could encourage abusive and controlling relationships, and Meyer might have over used punctuations. But honestly if you’re going to pick out every single flaw of the book, you’re just wasting your time. I get if you don’t like it, and I’m not asking for any kind of reason to why you hate it, but just don’t read it, or watch the movies. It’s not the worst written book in the history, nor is it (just) about finding a boyfriend. And NOT about an abusive relationship, I can definitely see why anyone can see that in this book series, I did too. But if any fan who’s reading this and can’t tell fiction from reality shouldn’t read at all, and it’s not a reason to why anyone would hate it.
Second I just have to add that I do think the fan base is annoying as hell, and the twilight moms creeps me out, and I really disliked the movies (mostly because I don’t think Catherine Hardwick did a good job directing these kind of movies, she should stick to her low budget movies, she’s amazing on those)
Third, I just want to say the Sparkle jokes about Edward are hilarious! However in the books (this is me saying personally) I didn’t imagine him really sparkling, just glistening. Which will sound “gay” no matter how you put it, but I imagine his beauty in the sun to be more like the ocean reflecting on a sunset. Not really colourful, but gleaming and breathtaking. I wished she would have used another word, because sparkle just sounds like a fairy.
Want to tell me how ignorant, horny preteen who can’t get laid, biased, stupid person who should kill yourself I am? Tell me here
Ps. I apologize for my bad spelling, English is not my first language.
